Jarret FW17 Seoul Fashion Week.. Part III

It’s day 3 of Seoul Fashion Week and I’m seriously loving every random moment.  Walking around Dongdaemun is an excursion in of itself.  People show up dressed in their most fashionable of fashionable outfits that go from one end of the spectrum to the other.  Some look like they rolled out of bed literally wearing a snuggie, while others look like they came straight out of Vogue and Anna Wintour styled them herself.  Don’t even get me started on the little kids that wandered around wearing better clothes than I have in my current closet.

When you really think about it, what is fashion? It’s anything that makes you feel good about yourself and an expression of yourself regardless of what’s “popular”.  I personally take pride in picking out my ensemble for the day because as a kid growing up, clothing selection was minimal, mainly due to the places we lived.  Because of this, I have a weird complex of dressing with details the average person probably doesn’t think about.

I wanted to be sleek and chic for my third official look.  High fashion but with a coolness factor you could wear literally anywhere.  My top is from Korean brand Mixxo, fluffy black vest from a local boutique in Itaewon (similar here), matte black liquid leggings (similar here), aldo wedge booties, sunglasses by Nordstrom (similar here), and my Saint Laurent envelope chain wallet bag..

Next on the itinerary was Jarret… I was intrigued by this designer because of their on point trends that are totally in style and wearable runway looks.  Plus the designer, Ji-Yeon Lee, has been featured in Paris and New York shows displaying style I would totally wear.. seriously, right up my alley.

Dark colors with prominent pops of red and orange again ruled the catwalk… and lots of puffy teased out hair with top knots by the girls.  Oh… and coat slinging jackets were a must.. because fashion.. the head gear worn by the men were so on brand, I would wear the hats myself.

What made the models even cooler, was their makeup with lightning bolts under their eyes in gold.. usually makeup isn’t super noticeable during a fashion show because the focus is on the clothes.. but this made it that more memorable.

Another show down in the books and fashion inspiration in my head.  Great blend of trend risk and minimalism.  Well done Jarret…

Take a peek of the finale walk by the models…  They strutted and worked that runway with a cool kid factor I wanted in on…

Meanwhile, one more show to go and one more outfit change.. shout out to my instagram husband that took on the role of photographer like a pro..  If you want some bts of his daily life of living with me, stalk his IG @instahusband21..
