How to MAYK your own K-Beauty Skincare!

I have some crazy news for all of you!  I’ve been wanting to use my creativity and love for Korean skincare into something I’m super passionate about.  I’m on the road to create my own K-beauty skincare product!  Now, I will caveat by saying it’s in the very early stages and my curiosity got the best of me.  I did some research on companies that are able to help with this process and I was recommended Mayk!

They’re based in South Korea (perfect!) as I want whatever I end up creating and putting my name to come from there as I truly believe what Korean skincare brands have done with the skincare industry is next level and they’re the gold standard.

 

 

I figured why not document this process because before I started doing my own homework, this was all a mystery to me.  Other content creators all of a sudden come out with a product and I always have SO MANY QUESTIONS as to how they were able to even do it!

So first off, creating an account on Mayk is super easy, the typical login stuff.  The website is simple to navigate, in fact, I made my initial inquiry using my cell phone.  The questions vary from the type of skincare you’re looking to create, in which case, I’m going with a serum.  If I had to choose from my array of skincare, and my must use on the daily, a good luxurious serum is at the very top.. sunscreen is also up there (maybe my next skincare journey!).

Other questions such as quantity and your budget are asked, so this is totally up to you and what you’re comfortable with. The details of your product such as color, design, and even bottle type help you virtually create your future skincare product!

 

 

The questions that will set your product apart from others come from the ingredients and they have a TON listed to choose from.  I went with Niacinamide and Glutathione.  The site also allows you to write notes if you’re like me, to make sure you’re getting EXACTLY what you want.  Then you’re done!  Send it in and wait for a consultation from Mayk to come through for any additional clarifying questions to ensure they get you a product sample you can be excited and ecstatic for!

I took a lot of what you all via Instagram contributed, to help me make those decisions (thank you!) and incorporated it into my future product sample!  What’s nice is you aren’t obligated to make any large production payments, this is all getting what’s in your creative brain into a sample, and then you can decide if you want to pursue it further..  I love that this is an option so you can really take your time and tweak anything in the future that works for you and your BRAND!  There’s no timelines other than your own, so no pressure!
