Calling all who love a fresh clean face! If you’re like me, I’ve been wearing less and less makeup on the daily, but what I haven’t been stingy with is my daily skincare routine. ESPECIALLY with washing my face morning and night (sometimes in the middle of the day too if I get a lunchtime workout). With that, I heavily rely on cotton pads to take all the gunk that tends to pile on the face throughout the day.. I’m talking sweat, leftover makeup that refuses to come off, and overall oils that can clog pores.. NOBODY wants clogged pores.. no one.
{we’re not here to be basic}
I’ve become an avid cotton pad user since moving to Korea. I used to use basic cotton balls to help cleanse my skin, then I realized the cotton pads were the way to go. Because I was the ultimate newbie, I didn’t know there was a difference, I just grabbed the cheapest one and was on my way. Let me tell you a new pet peeve of mine is left over lint on my face or cotton pieces getting stuck in my lash extensions. I needed to be saved from another piece of stringed cotton in direct contact of my eyeball.

Enter Naked Cotton. The company has gone under some major rebranding and the packaging will make wherever your facial cleansing ritual area is, aesthetically pleasing. I’ve been using two of the cotton pads currently in their line, Classic and Textured. Naked Cotton Classic is perfect for toners or essence while the Naked Cotton Textured is optimal for micellar water or toner.
Like everything I use, I put it through the test with my own facial cleansers. First thoughts… WHAT? NO LINT RESIDUE! No piles or rips either.. I was almost half expecting to get at least one piece stuck in my eyelash then spend the next 5 minutes trying to find the hidden lint.. Nope, zero, absolutely no lint. OKURRRRR, living up to the hype already. Did my face feel clean? Yes! Did my face feel like I got a mini exfoliation from the woven fabric? Yes! The cotton glides around graciously on the skin which allowed my toners and essence to do its job! I certainly don’t want to waste any skincare product to the cotton pad – these cotton pieces absorb just enough to ensure your face is thoroughly clean and hydrated.

Well, well, well. Here I am standing in my bathroom (in literal awe) happy to FINALLY have found a lint-free, 100% pure natural cotton, and BONUS: unbleached untreated 100% biodegradable, free of pesticides and chemical fertilizers cotton pad. AND the products are cruelty free — we love an ethical company that appreciates our furry friends.
Now I’m wondering where this product has been all my life and that the kind of cleaning tools I put on my face MATTERS – READ: I don’t want any kind of products that uses fertilizers on my skin. Gross. For all the money we spend on skincare, why use the cheapest kind of cotton (assuming it even is cotton) pads out there? Let’s treat our skin kindly and give it the pampering it most definitely deserves.
It doesn’t stop there. The pads are large enough to use as a DIY face mask. For those of you that like to make your own masks, you can apply your at-home products and add the cotton like sheet masks! If they’re too large, you can always cut them down to size to make them last a bit longer. Each box comes with 100 pieces for all your personal needs.
{ultimate street cred}
If credibility is what you need.. Naked Cotton has also been featured in Allure, Bustle, the Strategist, and the Klog. Now that’s a resume! The products are made in South Korea (hello beauty capital of literally the world), but can be purchased on their website, Soko Glam, or Amazon (where it’s currently ranked top 20).
If you’re into ethical companies, quality products, and making sure all your hard earned cash monies gets put to good use, Naked Cotton pads should be added to your cart immediately.
